Dear Friends:
Join The Group LA Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes
Team! With your support, there's hope! Diabetes can take an enormous
emotional and physical toll on people with diabetes and their families.
You can help us stop diabetes by joining our Friends & Family Team
and raising funds to help the American Diabetes Association provide
community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with
diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
I also thought this is a great way to network with industry friends! How great to walk among the historic buildings in Downtown LA and network while working for a good cause.
This cause was
chosen because Diabetes affects so many people including family members
of those who have the disease. My Dad and my brother both have Type 1
Diabetes in which they have to take a shot of insulin before they eat because their pancreas does not work correctly or at all. I also know people with Type 2 caused by obesity.

| I have to say that Connecting Reality events worked for me. I attended the first one at El Guapo and landed an Art Director job soon after. Thank you Rebecca! This job led to an on camera spot with Trading Spaces. This was a tremendous accomplishment for me as I had been trying to get a designer role on camera. | HI everyone, I am very active in The Group LA networking group. You may have heard of it from some of the editors and assistants you have worked with. If not, we are a networking group of psot production professionals. For more information, please go to our website at www.thegroupla.org. We always welcome new membership. We have a networking meeting coming up at the beginning of December at The Cat and the Fiddle. This event is also a charity can drive to benefit the SOVA pantry. Not everyone has a place to go for the holidays nor enough to eat, so we want to do our part. Please bring any canned goods or dried food goods in unopened packages.
